Baskies is a graduate of Trinity College (B.A., with highest honors, 1988) and Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1991). Mr. Baskies is admitted to practice in Florida and Massachusetts.\n \n Mr. Baskies concentrates his practice in the areas of estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning with an emphasis on representing wealthy families, entrepreneurs and athletes/celebrities in multiple-generation wealth transfer and asset protection planning. He also represents clients with business succession planning needs, including shareholders’ agreements, buy-sell and cross purchase agreements, and business transactions, including purchases and sales of businesses. Mr. Baskies also counsels clients on charitable giving, insurance planning, prenuptial and postnuptial planning, and probate, trust and guardianship administration. In addition, he represents clients in beneficiary representation cases, will and trust contests and fiduciary litigation. \n \n\n  \n  James R. George is a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of Greenberg Traurig, P.A. where he practices in the areas of fiduciary litigation, including litigation arising from estates, trusts and guardianships. Mr. George often serves as an expert witness and as mediator in trust and estate matters. Mr. George earned his undergraduate degree from the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto and his J.D., with Honors, from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School.\n \n\nTattiana Brenes-Stahl chairs Katz Baskies & Wolf’s probate, trust, and guardianship litigation practice. She represents individual, corporate, and charitable clients in will and trust contests and guardianship disputes at the trial and appellate levels. Tattiana has also represented U.S. based global clients in international litigation and in cross-border transactions.  Tattiana is a Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Broward County.
